Founder’s Note

Assalamu Alaikum,

I’m Huda Omar, the founder of ILKACAS Haircare, a brand born from both love and necessity.

The journey began with my 8-year-old daughter. One day, I noticed her hair starting to fall out for no clear reason. Every time I tried to comb it, she’d look up at me with fear in her eyes and whisper, “Mom, I really don’t want to lose my hair.”

She wears her hijab proudly at school, but to her, her hair still felt like her crown — a part of her identity she wasn’t ready to lose.

As I searched for answers, I remembered that a close family member had been diagnosed with alopecia. That realization gave me both concern and motivation. I refused to let fear define our story. Instead, I began researching everything I could about hair growth, nourishment, and scalp care.

One evening, I went into my kitchen determined to create something natural, safe, and healing — something made with both intention and love. That’s how ILKACAS Haircare was born.

The name ILKACAS holds deep meaning for me. In Somali, it means “hereditary beauty.” I chose it because I inherited small reddish-golden patches on my teeth, and my late father — may Allah rest his soul and grant him Jannah — used to lovingly call me “Ilkacas.”

To him, those patches were a mark of beauty — something unique and worthy of pride. Naming this brand after that word felt right — a reminder that beauty can be passed down through generations, not just in features, but in love, resilience, and faith.

وَمَن يَتَوَكَّلْ عَلَى اللَّهِ فَهُوَ حَسْبُهُ

“And whoever puts their trust in Allah — then He is sufficient for them.”

(Surah At-Talaq, 65:3)

Today, every bottle of ILKACAS Haircare carries that legacy — a blend of handmade care, patience, and faith.

From my family to yours, this brand stands as a reminder that healing often begins at home — with intention, dua, and trust in Allah’s wisdom.

With love,

Huda Omar
